Just Like You
Grade: A
Release Date: December 1, 2009
Summary:
Allison Iraheta's first album, Just Like You, is one album that you will enjoy! I was expecting Allison's album to be a "spur-of-the-moment" type thing that most finalists on Idol end up doing. If you don't know what I'm referring too, I mean that almost every Top 12 contestant on American Idol puts out an album either as soon as the show ends or early that next year. Most of these albums flop, but not these selected few contestants: David Archuleta and Allison Iraheta! Even though Allison came in fourth place on the 8th season of American Idol, her disappointment doesn't come across on this album. "Just Like You" is filled with a fine mixture of upbeat songs as well as those ballads that touch your heart. My favorite songs, which some are listed in the standout section below, are: "Robot Love," "Don't Waste The Pretty," and "D Is For Dangerous." These songs all have a great message to them as well as fabulous beats. "Robot Love" is about a boy who is in love with a "robot" meaning a girl who is constantly on the internet or cellphone stalking this particular boy! I am personally in love with the song "D Is for Dangerous" because there is a unique feel to it. The beginning of the alphabet is used to name off words and phrases to fit the story! Some other favorites are mine are "Friday I'll Be Over U," the first single off of the album, as well as "Still Breathing." This album is one to definitely check out, and one artist to keep your eye on!
